River of Gold - copyright November 2005 - signature poem
Trees dressed in vivid colorsof gold, orange, red and yellow leavesIn the midst of autumn splendorshe loved walking with her King~The longer they strolledthe more she enjoyedthe majesty of His presenceand began to thank Him for who He is~In awe of His perfection and gloryas they enjoyed the afternoonshe humbly asked her Saviorto help her understandthe reasons she endured difficulties~'My child, because I love youI wept in the midstof watching youbut it was necessaryto shape your heartso that in my likeness you would be'~At first glance it seemedlike just a river and the purpose initiallywas unclear, then she kneltbeside her Savior at the river's edgeand gently touched the hem of His garmentInstantly she felt something unmistakablethat spoke to her soul~Because He knows the depthof her love and how she has longedto serve Him and strivesto please Him in all waysHe smiled at the sincerityof her worship as He listenedto her gratitude for abundant blessingsdaily guidanc, strengthand the wisdom of Solomon~The longer she knelt beside her Kingthe more it all made senseEach time her tears flowedher faith never falteredInstead she held tighter to His handHer trust never diminishing~If you walked with Jesusthrough autumn's splendorunaware of your destinationwould you also continueto hold tight to His handand trust where He leads youwithout questioning His perfect plan?
